    V1 Creaking Goblin

Problem solved! After a bunch of jacking up various corners and turning/moving things, it turns out the noise was coming from the steering rack replacement bolts: A little spray of WD-40 and some torque quieted it right up. Glad it wasn't my diff!

    V1 Creaking Goblin

Hey all. I've noticed a fairly loud creaking noise coming from the back of the car when turning at slow speeds. It's very easy to replicate. If I turn the front wheels either direction, and simply roll the car in neutral a few inches forwards or backwards, it makes the noise. The noise does not...

    Florida Registration

@Lethalcast was successful, and as of Jan. 7th, mine is registered in Florida as well. I went the route of ASPT or assembled from parts. Just follow the instructions in TL-41. There's a checklist at the end. You will need: to fill out an application for a title have the title for the donor car...

    V1 Speedometer not working

Yes. After I switched the plugs, the speedometer worked, but the ECT was still not reading on the gauge cluster. I pulled the negative battery cable off for a few minutes and when I reconnected it the temperature was displayed.

    Turbo ecm needed

The car wouldn't crank or start. You can read the progression here: http://dfkitcar.com/forum/index.php?threads/first-start-no-crank-condition.789/post-16584 Separately, my OBDII scanner would not connect to the car and during my first drive my speedometer and coolant temps didn't work. I'm...

    V1 Bill's Extended City Goblin, 2009 SS/TC donor

These are the Braum Venom seats. Tallest seats Braum sells. Not too hard to install and comfortable. They can be quite a bit cheaper than on the Braum website if you look around a little.

    V1 Bill's Extended City Goblin, 2009 SS/TC donor

So, it's been over a year since I have last updated this thread. Lots of progress has been made though! The car is running and driving. I still need to install headlights and the windshield to be ready for registration, and there are a bunch of little other things I want to do. Here are a few...

    Turbo ecm needed

I had issues and thought I needed a new ECM as well. I bought one and then determined it was an unseated plug in my BCM. I still have the ECM and have no plans to use it if you still need one.

    V1 Speedometer not working

Just fixed this on mine. The engine coolant and speed sensor plugs and both 2 pin and fairly close to each other. I had them swapped. You need to reset the ECU for it to be able to read engine temp again if anyone else has this problem. Makes an enormous power difference too...

    V1 Speedometer not working

Did you ever figure this out? I have RPM, lights etc., but no speed or water temp.

    V1 Shifter Cable Mount

Just talked to Lonny, and it sounds like their hardware vendor messed up and I got the wrong parts. They are all supposed to be right hand thread for anyone else that has this issue.

    V1 Shifter Cable Mount

So I can't install these parts like this because all of my rod ends are left hand threads. They only thread on to one end of the rods on the top in this photo, and don't thread onto either end of the shift cables. Something isn't right.

    V1 Shifter Cable Mount

    Thanks!

    V1 Shifter Cable Mount

Anyone have a nice clear photo of how this linkage is supposed to go using the new attachment method? All of my little rod ends (circled in red) are internally left hand thread, there wasn't enough hardware to use the right hand threaded end of the little rods to attach to the stock shifter (I...

V1 First Start - no crank condition...

This is for an 09 SS/TC. Not sure if the others look the same.
