    Track overheating

Here's the story on dish soap in the coolant. If you have heavy oil deposits in the cooling system, dish soap is used to clean it out. My excavator engine had that very issue after a head gasket issue. I was told to run POWDERED DISHWASHER SOAP added to plain water as coolant until the system...

V1 Spherical upper strut mount group buy

I'd like to get in on this if I still can. I have the BC coil overs. Please let me know what other info you need and payment details. I might be challenged getting payment to you, I haven't used my paypal account in years. If a check in the mail works, we're in business.

V1 Spherical upper strut mount group buy

My car isn't done yet and I'm wondering if I should get in on this. I don't plan to the track my car. I saw the picture of the breakage. Is this happening on street driven cars or is it more of a track car issue? If this is a worthwhile upgrade to a street driven car, I should probably get in.

    OTT: Garage Goofs (10-28-2025)

I have a Dynahoe 290K loader/backhoe that got its oil changes done outside until my shop was built. It always irritated me that the oil filter faced downward so the oil spilled all over when the filter was removed. The first time I changed the oil in the shop, I was finally able to crawl under...

    V1 Doors?

I'm not far behind you at 69. Before cutting the hoop, mock up double top bars and practice getting in and out.. Although my car isn't done, I've gotten in and out of it many times. It would be much harder to get in and out of my car without the top bars as a grab point.

V1 Stonewerks’ Track Goblin - 09 LT donor, Michigan Build #272

Relocating the horn is the easy solution. If the screw must come out either now or at a later date, here are some ideas. There probably isn't enough room now, but it looks like a vice grip would grab the head just fine. Another option is to saw a slot into the head and use a hand impact that you...

    Front splitter installation and reviews

Okay, I'm clear on this. The NACA ducts provide the incoming air and the air exits through the splitter cut out. Thanks.

    Front splitter installation and reviews

I'm confused. The NACA duct is an air inlet for the cooler, right? If the bottom duct is open to the front, it's also an inlet. Where is the outlet for the incoming air? I have the splitter and NACA ducts so I need to get this right in my mind.

I'm in no hurry, so mine can be sent last if that helps someone else get theirs sooner.

V1 Sub Frame rust, I need your thoughts

If you have an air compressor, buy a needle scaler. I prefer the pistol grip type. They work great on the type rust you have. After going over your subframe with the scaler, you'll have a pretty good idea its condition. The scaler will poke through any areas where the metal is thin.

    V1 Replacing high mileage parts

You might consider dismantling the alternator and checking the condition of the bearings, brushes and commutator. Mine had one bad bearing, one bad brush and the commutator was questionable (122,000 miles on car). Because of the high cost of replacement, I bought a kit off Ebay and rebuilt it...
