    V1 Sluggonaut's Extended Track #364 - 2007 SS/SC (Turbo) Donor

This winter's project list has just been updated with a few additional items. After starting to see some smoke out of the exhaust between shifts when pushing it, I decided to do some troubleshooting. Although the compression test resulted in good numbers, the fact that cylinder 3's spark plug...

    Goblinfest 2025

I brought 2 fuel cans with me when I went and only had to make one trip to refill. I don't remember the name of the town, but there was a Casey's with E85 about 35 minutes away.

    Goblinfest 2025

It's always been open to "all kit car owners of any kind and enthusiasts of kit cars of any kind", so I don't know why it would be any different this year. If you haven't attended one yet, I highly recommend it.

    V1 The wife’s Goblin, 2007 L61 F23

Of all the motorized toys I've had and miss, my '94 VMax is at the top of the list.

    Engine mounts

It was a big challenge for me as well. The biggest issue is always ensuring that the rear frame downtubes align with the subframe. Doing it solo, I always have to use ratchet straps to get the last downtube bolt in, but you definitely need all bolts started and loose to get the motor mounts to...

    Project Undertow #388

I used Chris_WNC's solution of screwing a 1/8 npt brass fitting to 1/4 barb into the release port of the surge tank and then running a hose from it under the car. That fixed my mystery fluid on the tank issue that you also seem to be experiencing.

    Best/Cheapest Insurance options?

I have Rally and it's $360 for the year. Full coverage, agreed value at $20k, no race events, and 6k mile limit per year.

    "Usable" Daily Driver HP

The nice thing about the turbo option is that you can add a boost controller. I have a 12 psi setting and a 22 psi setting. I keep it at 12 psi on cold days or if the tires aren't cooperating. I was thinking about adding settings in between, but found at 12 psi I don't have traction issues at...

    Where is my order?

I remember getting an estimate as to when they would ship but I don't think DF had any insight other than when the order to Corbeau was placed. It may have changed since I got my kit in 2022.

    Where is my order?

    The Corbaeu stuff is drop-shipped.

    [GUIDE] Montana Registration

I may have missed the question, but I am curious as to why you would need the title. If we're talking Montana registration you won't need the donor title.

V1 Clutch and brake bleed question

Prior to building my Goblin I would have said pressure bleeding does not require bench bleeding of a new MC. After seeing some of the strange things I did during my build I question whether the knowledge I had going in was knowledge or fairy tales. Bench bleeding removes the doubt that there's...

V1 Clutch and brake bleed question

I read through this thread but didn't see a definitive answer to a couple of questions: Are you following the clutch bleed directions that Lonny has posted or are you stopping after you've pumped it and let it fall as you bleed like you do with the brakes? After bleeding from the MC, you have...

    V1 Flat Towing

I flat-towed mine to Goblin Fest a couple of years ago, and I used shrink wrap from in front of the cabin to behind the seats. It made it most of the 600 miles down and all of the 600 miles back in one piece. Some of the overlaps came apart on the way down, letting in some debris, but the little...

Coil to low to fit wider tire

The coil should not be adjusted based on the tires, it should be adjusted to get the correct suspension setting. Wheel offset or spacers should be used for tire clearance issues.

    Where is my order?

I had 2 sets of these for moving my donor around in the storage unit I used to tear it down. I now use these with a short 4x4 across each pair to set my Goblin frame on during the winter to keep my soft tires off the cold garage floor. It moves around just as easily this way as it does with the...

    (LSD) - Limited-Slip Differential

Can I ask why you feel it is a necessity? This is an honest question from someone with a turbo-swapped LSJ running an open diff. If it is for traction purposes, I'd start with stickier tires. Once I added proper tires, traction was no longer an issue.
