Does anyone have an interest in a super clean donor, currently has 39K miles on her. Just bought a new daily drive so before I put it on Facebook Marketplace I thought I would offer it up here.

No answer until I return in Feb. you got me thinkin. Was hoping to find a 08/09 2.4/ 5 speed. Hard to find without sun roof and not red. Sunroof is same as a boat, “will leak soon enough”.

Not in my experience. I’ve had multiple 15+ year vehicles, with sunroofs and none of them leaked. If there was water, it was the drip tubes getting clogged. All you had to do was run a straightened out coat hanger down the tubes. Granted, these all were Honda’s and our current Toyota.

MN-12 chassis Thunderbirds did the same thing.

I value your experience, that is to say undoudely your experience is true. I like the Sunrider top on my Wrangler.
Gravity is always at work. I’ve fixed and maintained too many sunroofs. In this instance I am hoping for a less complex vehicle.
Wanting a 2.4/ 5spd and less content makes the likelihood of finding a car fitting my ideals unlikely. I imagine most 2.4 were only bought in a deluxe package like SS.
I must say I was only figuring it as short term transportation to later be used a a donor for my varied and nefarious schemes or more likely disposed of after my family makes me give up driving in a decade or so. (Hoping for 2 decades, we will see.)

2.4 was only available as an SS or the later years called a Sport. It was never an engine option that was available on your choice of Cobalt package. But of course, there were other available options on the SS or Sport.

Jareth, I feel sure this unit is solid, I’ve witnessed your values with regard to cars. Sadly not what I’m really after.
No one should complain about the price! I think you’re too cheap for any car with only 40K on the clock! I hope to stumble on a 07-09 coupe 2.2 5spd with broken motor. And a 2.4 probably out of a G6. They’re plentiful around Atl.
