Hey Guys need your help.
My goblin is breaking serpentine belts It runs the alternator and supercharger.
I replace it and it broke a second one with in 5 miles. Nothing it froze everything turns freely.
It all looks aligned the tensor is nice and stiff when you try and unload it.
Anyone else had this problem?

And no sign if slipping belt? No black dust around the pulley? If not and everything is aligned, something has to be hanging and snapping the belt.

Is the belt to short maybe?

When I switched sc pulleys, I got other belts for things to work properly. One on the biggest problems I had was the belt “slapping” on the long side going from the charger to the ac comp. I ended up switching from the 2.7 pulley to the 2.9, just to make the belt, tensioner and such all happy.

I have also heard that some aftermarket belts don't last long... cheaply made. Not sure of the good brand names thou... maybe others have some knowledge.

Not sure what brand your belts are but stay away from the aftermarket ones like some have said. I've completely shredded 2 of the non-oem "stage2" belts from zzp. Stick with OEM if you can.

I checked the pulleys and all of them are filled with rubber. I didnt think the belt was slipping but maybe it was.
I have order new pulleys. I am going to try and wire wheel the ones I have to clean them and try new belt and see if that works. I am use Gates and Napa belts.
