V1 Caliper Guide Pins

I'm finding conflicting information on which hole the guide pin with the black tip goes into. Botttom?

Also what's the point of that thing? It seems to fit just fine in either spot and I don't see anything in the holes that would tell me that it needs to go in one versus the other.

Found it--I think. Looks like the "bushing" as it's referred to in the service manual goes into the top holes on the front brakes, and the bottom holes on the rear brakes.

That's a good question. I'm going to go way out on a limb and say that I believe the hole they go in is based on the physical location of the caliper regardless of where they originally were located on the Cobalt. At least for the TC builds, all of the calipers look to be the same so there really is no front/back differences that I can see.
