What a cool car.. I built a MK3 Factory five back in 2005, and loved it. But it was sold years back. Looking back at the process. I loved building it more than I liked driving it. I think this was due to the fact it had no top, and in New England the weather can turn quickly.. So any time you went on a road trip you would need to keep an eye on the radar... And with a full interior car with no top this can get messy quickly. I like the open cockpit design. Easy to keep clean and open weather friendly if built properly.
I have always loved the Arial Atom, but the price point was/is CRAZY.. I have followed a few of the other XO type companies. But I was never impressed with the design or power plants. I truly wanted mid/rear engine, and a healthy race type engine. Guess what, you guys have NAILED it ! Love the well documented build videos, and the site is nice and clean.
I currently looking for a donor. I want something with low miles crashed. Going turbo for sure. Target is going to be 300HP. This will make it a blast on the track, and wild on the streets as well.
I do have some concerns on getting it registered here in Massachusetts. Back when I did my FFR, it was a not easy getting it on the road. It was all about paper work.. And passing the inspection at the state police.
