My life forces me to work in unconventional ways. I am researching how to convert a Automatic Engine wiring harness to Manual. The Automatic Engine Harness I have weeded apart leads me to think this is possible. Although made together, the ECM and the TCM wiring don't actually intermingle except for the speedo wires, grounds and power. I still have a few questions. I need an 07/08 manual engine harness. I could use wiring diagrams as well. But I find actually pulling harnesses apart and chasing wires very educational. I could benefit from pictures of all the harnesses laid out to show how they break down and couple together all the way to the BCM.(Light harness, fuel, emissions, rear light and interior wiring is not needed) DF's videos went through donor wiring removal rather quickly and didn't focus in on showing individual harness segments in their donor tear down. I've watched the thinning wiring videos, they are GREAT! but they are focused on that job. No junk yards nearby, I'm currently in Dubois, WY near Tetons National Park. A nice little town, accent on the little. (pop 6000) I've seen only one(1) local, a G5.(wrecked, no tag, not for sale, go away crazy old man!) I won't be near a big city that would have a junk yard until Albuquerque, NM, in early November. But I can send $ and receive mail! I found an engine harness on Ebay for about $100. I'm hoping someone's build leftovers can do me better, a slightly cut up example could still be useful so long as all of it's wires are there. Missing a few plug ends or the FI extension is no problem, location on the harness and wiring color is usually enough to ID terminals that are missing.
