V1 Parking brake light

Is there any way to get the 'brake' light to go off when the hand brake is disengaged? I'm hoping to wire it up to the bcm and it'll work, but I doubt its that simple. Will it never go off due to the ABS delete? I'm in Claifornia so im trying to make it as compliant as possible before going to the DMV for a registration. Not sure it'll be possible with the tune and turbo now that im thinking about it. Anyone have any advice?

Are you talking about the instrument panel brake indicator light?
I fixed that with some electrical tape.

Yep. Block off the dash lights and run your own. A small led with ignition power to it, then use the switch on the park brake lever to throw ground. I added my light to the boost gauge

I did the same thing. Get the hand brake switch wire, (I think light blue) and run it to a light then ground. Ignore the cluster light.

The factory brake light will never go off with the abs gone. If the abs light is on the brake light will also be on. That’s why it’s easiest to block it off with electrical tape and use a remote light.

Good to know, i'll add an auxiliary light instead.
