What does good luck look like?

To all Goblin builders and interested parties: Lady Luck ain't to be ignored! Things aren't always how they seem and when things work out it's pretty damned sweet! June 10th I became a Grand Pa for the second time! We had to be in El Paso, Tx just to help. In my free time, since I am far from my project/creature, I wander through the forums looking to dispense bits of knowledge to anyone in need. I am retired and I have the time, it feels great anytime I get to help bring another new friend's toy to function. I am "That Guy", the one that is not even building a Goblin! I am building a Mid-Engined Cobalt; I guess, secretly, I long to be a Goblin "God Father"? I happened to read the tales of woe from a builder north of Dallas/ FW, TX, I wrote to offer my help as much as my forum posts might help; keep me in the loop! He even offered to finance a work/visit from any interested technician! (From El Paso we were headed south to New Grand Baby, Arthur's Home.) My lifestyle: we are not exactly Gypsies, we do move but with purpose; to visit cool places and our 3 kids! By the 4th of July Arthur's parents announce a New Job! and they will be instantly moving to Ft. Worth, TX.(A fortunate surprise!) So I dash a missive off to my new and rather stressed "Goblin Forum Guy". I haven't actually built a Goblin but I have peeled apart more than my fair share of Cobalts and HHR's. And that the winds of change will be blowing my road show to a RV park just west of Ft. Worth around July 10 for about 2 months! On 7/12 I finally darkened the doorway of Mr. Goblin Owner's garage, say our howdy's and WE proceeded to assess his situation!(It is always a rush to help out!) I can't speak for him but sometimes we just don't have the brain juice to apply to Work, Home Life with two kids, 5 and 2 and generally being a human! Keeping the grass cut, little home projects from paint to shelves, ETC and kids always seem to be having DR and Dental appointments plus their school stuff! Like just the day to day hic-ups of a regular job isn't daunting enough! Life can get busy fast! In conclusion: IN THAT GARAGE it's all looking more POSITIVE!, parts are being ordered, all kinds of bits are finding homes, loose wires are being connected, mystery wires being dug out and are getting ID'd, missing bits are being identified and sourced, positioning of things like seats and intercooler/radiator, are being discussed and fiddled with. Much "Cardboard Aided Design" is being pressed into service! A passel of little decisions are being considered, mocked up and finalized! AND I get to be in the middle of ALL OF THAT!, just soaking up all of that FREE GLORY like the Lazy Biscuit I was born to be! PLUS, his pile of boxes is dwindling a little! Life Is Good! To Quote Col. Johnathan "Hannibal" Smith From The A Team Stories/Movies: "I Do Love It When a Plan comes together!" somebody find me a little, bent cigar!
