Short intake and short exhaust to go with it!I’m trying out that new zzp goblin intake. Not sure if it makes a huge difference in temp yet but I like how it looks being short.

So far it’s been fine. Although if you go straight down to idle after a pull it’s a little wacky until you slow down. But that could also just be my tune. Still sorting it out. Started rich to be safe and got spark blowout so time to make it lean and mean. That intake.... iirc didn't a few guys have issues with open air intakes like that with the MAF right st the filter because of turbulence around the mass air meter? I'd like to see how it performs at higher speeds with a mass amount of air into it.
Looks cool though.
Yeah idle on LNFs is fun. It wasn’t too far off up top but the density altitude was in the negatives a couple nights ago in Florida so it’s getting some good air. Last time I tuned the trims was summer air at 2-3k ft DA.Any change in an intake layout would need MAF tuning. And it seems like it shows up more in idle to just off idle area.
I did it with the “stock” location when I got a new air filter. It’s pretty simple with the copy and paste graph situation and resetting your correction graph. I noticed it the most coasting and cruising today cause it was pretty breezy today and it would try to die and stumble. In boost it would go rich and blowout but clean up a little. Definitely erratic.I can see that location, if it’s the one in the picture above being very turbulent. I don’t know how much you have tuned the maf before, but getting some of the low speed and constant throttle stuff can be hard.
I’m sure it works great on a dyno. I’m gonna clean the maf just to make sure oil didn’t blow on it when my PCV valve went out just to take out variables. Maybe try to extend the filter out to get as much pre-maf length that I can too.I wonder if they did any real world testing before releasing it. I'm not sure if they have access to an SS/TC build like yours to just go road tuning with.
Yeah, this.I’m sure it works great on a dyno.
Maybe put one of these upstream of the MAF to help 'straighten' the airflow over the sensor.
