V1 Body Panels

Desert Sasqwatch
Upper body panels, correct? Not the lower body panels that can be purchased from DF?

I recall a couple builders added aluminum body panels that fit above the DF panels to enclose the passenger compartment. And at least one person who added side panels to the engine bay to close it in too. Thinking it was someone from Canada - ManDan maybe?

The roof has been fabbed up by many builders. Search for 'roof' in the search function.

Edit: I have a roof pattern that fits 'flush' to the inside of the halo hoop. See my build. I can fold it and send it too you if you would like to copy my roof build. IM me.

Body panels can be pretty much anything you want and have skills to get done.

Smoked plexiglass or color of choice.
Aluminum.
Fiberglass or Carbon.
Vinyl and convertible top material - sown seam with snap poppers - removable, storable by rolling. Vinyl will stretch with weather change and wind buffeting though.
Dirt track racers use aluminum and plastic sheets. Summit racing and others sell sheet and roll plastic (which is I believe bendable in a bend brake).

So, go wild with your ideas. The car is yours and this makes it unique to you.

Not sure if it’ll fit the v2 but I really like the sunscreen I put on the wife’s goblin, it came from shadeidea.com

I was looking at these, do you have the roof bars on both of your goblins? I don’t have them and I’m curious how much that shade will flap in the wind.

I should state that I haven't gotten one yet and am looking at getting the new v2 soon (I hope) I'm just trying to figure out all the details, but yes the top and will the current roof fit the v2 if it doesn't would a new one be made
I used the roof off of the Cobalt. Turned it sideways. it has the natural curve. I reinforced it by welding 1/4" rods in an "X" pattern. Before I painted the frame I welded some tabs on the upper bar and added Dzus clips.

if you don't want to make a solid roof I really enjoy the jeep type roof I got.

I like the idea of using the body panels of the donor, what tool did you use to cut (would a dremil work) and do you think that could work for side panels to like maybe using the doors body panel

we only have the wife’s goblin but yes it does have the roof bars. I’m not certain how much it would flap but it barely moves with the roof bars and tall windscreen

I used a sawzall to cut the roof panel. I cut is as big as I could , then cut it down to the size of the top roll bars. I put rubber 1/4" "U" channel , with adhesive on the inside around the edges of the roof panel. It does not scratch the paint on the roll bar.
