I just went for it. I found my local SCCA were amazing people. Helped me a lot. I’m going try and come down from Michigan for a few of the Ohio events.
Took the car out for the first drive today since I installed the new subframe. Wow what a difference. Corners I’d normally break loose in at 35mph now felts pined at 40mph. No more wiggle on launch, just squats and goes. Also noticed when driving and I hit bumps it stays straight. Doesn’t bounce...
One thing I did was a nut and bolt check everything before my first drive. I was so afraid I forgot to tighten something. I just wanted make sure was done right.
Mine seemed off when i started on the outer edge on one side and worked my way across. I tried to start in the middle and then add bolts back and forth on either side and it lined up correctly
I adjusted it to 30deg last year. Liked it so added an additional 10deg this winter. I’m not worried as much about it cracking. If it does I’ll replace it. Don’t think it will happen because before I bolted it up I was able to easily bend it further than it currently is
Nice progress. I ended up flipping my front coil overs upside down to make it easier to make adjustments. It also slightly reduces the un sprung weight
What about going to the old tunnel cover with the reversers and the group buy shifter. Not as good and the new one but may fix the issue. I have the group buy and love it.
