A few questions.

1. If I order a kit and pick it up can I get it all at once instead of stages?
2. If so, What is the approximate lead time from order placement to being able to pick it up? I understand there will be no set answer, but is it months? Weeks?
3. How "water resistant" is the car when complete? If I'm out cruising and get caught in a shower, will the instrument cluster and other electronics that normally would be in the body of the cobalt be ok?
4. The cost of powder coating hhas been discussed, but what about the cost of bodywork paint?

  1. First and second stage could be picked up together close to the end of this year. We are going to be thermoforming the body panels instead of laying them up out of fiberglass. This will make more consistent parts but will require us to make aluminum molds. Target ship date for body panels is early next year.
  2. See answer #1.
  3. The Goblin is definitely a fair-weather. While the engine and its electrical systems are safe out in the elements, the gauges and button panels will not be inherently waterproof. In an automatic car, the gear selector will not be waterproof. There are products available that you can spray on electronics to get a little bit of water protection. These might keep the components protected long enough for you to find shelter.
  4. We haven't planned on providing paint jobs for the body panels but we are looking into getting a local company to print and apply wraps to the body panels. We aren't sure of the price yet but it would probably end up between $500 and $750 to get all of the body parts and fenders covered.
