Unable to establish communication

Depends on what he means by the "Power" not being hooked up. Is this the X1 connector or the X2 connector. I think it will still pass data without the X1 power being connected as long as X2 is connected. If X2 is disconnected, it will need to be jumped. The Resistance test I keep bringing up...

I think I opened the link looking at someone else problem, but haven't used it much since I have the hardcopy service manual for the later donors.
