V1 brake booster spacer?

Hey guys, I'm just getting around to the halfway mark of stage 1 completion and I've realized I don't have a brake booster spacer. I am pretty sure my donor car did not have one (it's a 2007 cobalt SS) because I kept every single part that came out of it, however, It seems the car was tinkered with and would not surprise me if it was missing some parts.

I did see a prior post about troubleshooting an issue caused by not using this spacer. That OP used a few washers and shimmed it out.

Now the questions: How many of you have assembled your goblin without the spacer? Is this an absolutely necessary part for the build? If I need this, do any of you have the part number handy?

Thanks!

I think you're talking about me? :)

Assuming it fits, its only really necessary I think to make the brake pedal position sensor to line up (and thus allow your brake lights to work). I had to mod mine to get it to work before I noticed I was missing the spacer. I think your best bet is a scrapyard per usual. Unless you can get one CNC cut by SendCutSend or something.

Is it safe to assume those with the new model master cylinders had the spacer and the old models did not?

My 2007 SS/SC has the old model MC and no spacer.

I deleted my previous post because I had the wrong part number.

this says 20857660 fits 2008 SS/TC so I assume it fits across all cobalts :) this appears to be unobtainium

goblin build video 15 says that only late model cobalts have the spacer
