Brand New Website

Hey guys,

Just launched a new website. It was a complete overhaul of the main website but didn't change anything on the forum (well, it shouldn't have changed anything on the forum but we'll see).

We don't have a team of bug checkers here at the shop so if you encounter any issues with the new site, please let me know!

The key thing that I spotted is the V2 will be available with the DSG or Manual transmission - that will make whole bunch of potential buyers happy!

Are you using dark enough lenses for all that welding you are doing on the Goblin?

A Golf R donor should be the same compatibility as a performance pack GTI because the bevel box for sending power to the rear is attached in the same spot as the VAQ e-locker, so the transmissions are identical (aside from shorter ratios on the R).

I think the performance pack became standard at some point, maybe with the facelift in 2018, but on earlier models you can tell if it has the performance package by the red GTI logo and the larger brakes.

Adam was looking for feedback. The mobile app, when holding a phone vertically, doesn't show the menu selection across the top of the screen or pull up this drop down menu when 'DF Kit Car' is clicked on at the top of the page. Thought this was important to provide this tidbit of information so an adjustment to the website could be made to accommodate viewing on a mobile phone.

And yes my welding helmet works just fine.

Would VAQ even work for something like this, where you're putting what it thinks is the front axle on the rear? Thinking it might make it pretty unhappy and not know what to do, but I'm not even sure what all sensor inputs it uses/needs.

Yea, I bet that would be a whole project getting that to work, a mechanical LSD will work just fine. Idk what sensors they're planning on retaining, but wheel speed sensors would also be nice for SL launch control and traction control, torque by gear, etc...

Well, I did a thing and order 2406 is in for a deposit on the v2. Now to find a buyer for my current goblin…
