I just got a 48” Big Wang for $185 shipped on 9LR’s “auction” page. I hope I get a sticker too!

Wat, I looked all over their site and couldn't find an auction page. Their 48" build your own was a little out of reach

Would you be open to sharing your laser files?

I’m not seeing the link now either. They probably deactivated it when their blems were sold.

This one has a couple areas where the coating has runs in it. Not bad enough to bother me but not good enough to sell at full price.

My buddy at the laser shop cut my parts on Friday. Test fit and drive went well. I adjusted the side plates up an inch or so and made it run level.

I'm happy with everything so I went ahead and powder coated the pieces. I need to order some hardware that Lowes and Tractor Supply doesn't have to finish it all off.

You will. :D My splitter is about the same height but only 2” or so sticking out of the front of the car. It shovels gravel nicely. o_O

Chris_WNC
My old splitter was scraping the crown on our gravel driveway after I went from 275/35-18s to 225/45-16s. I couldn't even get into my shop without it scrubbing. This is much better...for now.

Weekend projects.
These are changed out. That was fun.

I was getting a little overflow from my coolant tank on the last two remote tuning runs and it spit all over the fuel tank and pump. I swapped out the cap with a new one and added this little drain tube to give it a clear path to the ground if it happens again. Temp readings were fine. Pretty solid 180 with a peak of 189. Looking at these photos has convinced me to replace that spliced together hose. No need for 5 clamps on that little straight run. lol.

I plugged a hole in one tire. Nailed it! :D

I cleaned up the cut edges on the aluminum intake tubes. You could cut your finger on them before. I'd like to clean up that area one of these days.

I'm up to remote tune # L with Matt from ZZP. That's 12 revisions since I first reached out to them. It's feeling pretty strong now. Power comes on hard and fast at WOT. Cruising is comfortable. I'm happy with how things are progressing. Which is letting me think about and work on other little projects. I think my next big purchase is that brake proportioning valve kit.

I add some speaker pods from Amazon. Simple install and they fit under the hood just fine. I pointed them forward to tone down the mids and highs. Much better on my sensitive old man ears. My JBL gets to retire from the Goblin!

I'm almost done with remote tuning. The car feels great. ZZP seems happy with the logs. I don't know what to look for in them. lol. I'm going to do some more driving to make sure I'm happy with everything. The WOT 1-2 shift could be a little quicker. Not sure if that can be tuned or if it's a physical thing with the transmission and torque converter.

Desert Sasqwatch
The torque has to be limited with automatic transmission - it's the nature of the smaller GM (4T45) gearboxes. But, being half the weight of a Cobalt it can be pushed a little higher - they do know the weight of your Goblin?

Desert Sasqwatch
They could tune it to go a little higher with the torque, since there is less chance of breaking something in the transmission with a lighter vehicle. Every little bit of extra torque will likely be felt in the seat of the pants dyno with the Goblin being so light. :D

Hi Chris, I just saw the pics of your front spoiler on the Facebook group and I love it! I've been back and forth with deciding if I want one of not and I think I definitely want a front and rear spoiler :) I read back a few pages on your build here to see what all you used to install the front wing, but unsure if I found it or not? I do like the way you mounted yours though! Would you be willing to make me some of those mounting brackets for money, of course? If not, I really need to buy a nice newer welder! Love the Blue on your car!
My software is down right now but I can send you a pdf or dxf of how I have mine cut when I get it reinstalled. You'll need a local guy with a plasma table or fiber laser. I bent the 90 degree angle but the aluminum that I used didn't like the bend radius. So, I reinforced it with that angle that is pictured. You fab guy should be able to take care of that for you.

It's Goblin season again. I've brought mine out of winter hibernation. Had to clean off a ton of dust and pollen. I went to our local small Cars and Coffee yesterday. It was a hit again. Lots of guys were genuinely interested in it and I got tons of compliments on my build quality. There was an easter egg scavenger hunt thing going on as well and it was a hit with the littles.

I had a persistent rattle that I couldn't isolate up on the lift. It was kind of behind the seats in the engine area when driving slowly on my driveway. I found it yesterday! It was the two front sub-frame bolts. They were slightly loose and the washers were rattling. I guess someone snuck into my shop last fall and loosened them up or something. There's NO way that I didn't torque them down when I had the engine out last time. lol. I've already done a bolt and nut check on everything to make sure that butthole didn't mess with anything else. o_O

I also took off the janky and rattly NRG steering wheel quick release. I never used it and it was a rattle source too. A bonus is that it moved the steering wheel forward an additional inch. Jackpot!
