Drag racing!

What is everyone's thought on how to setup a goblin for drag racing. Tires? Suspension setup? I have a turbo goblin and a few buddies that drag race, want to bring it to the strip and see what it will do. How much would running drag radicals change how well it drives on the street? I'm interested what everyone thinks.

Run it with your stock setup the first few passes to get a baseline. Then start making tweaks with slicks and shock/strut settings (you do have the BC coilover struts?) to adjust weight transfer. If you don't do this you will not know if the changes made are helping or hurting your trap times.

Personally, I would get the suspension to work as best as possible before trying to add more power. If you can't optimize your suspension for the current power level, adding more will be wasted.

I would not change tires for the first few trips to a drag strip. There is a good chance you're not going to have a traction problem.

The biggest problem you will have is timing your shifts. You will not be able to shift by ear, so you will need to set up a shift light.
It needs to be within your field of vision so you can focus on the track and not have to hunt for the light.

Excited to see what i can do. About 400hp z57. Ya I didn't think it would be a problem. Next mod is going to be 275 nt01 in the rear, I know that is a bit wide to heat up on the street, more for just the look.
