Recently I've looked into separating the casing on my f35 g85 trans to fix the gasket between it and the bell housing. I'm so close to pulling it apart but I belive my shifter arms (levers) and the shafts they are connected to are keeping me from lifting it.

IVE SPENT THE LAST THREE DAYS TRYING TO FIND INFO ON HOW TO REMOVE THEM!!!

Anyone here have any experience? I'm so desperate that I've consulted chat GPT to help me find info and diagrams and it comes up with nothing

I was using this video as a guide. I found the disassembly guide from an old gm information system

I'm sure after I get mine sorted I'll make a page on here with all of the documents and detailed diagrams for each of the steps

Thatd be wonderful. Tools used would be cool too. Oh and I attached a relevant PDF. There is a guide on a cobalt forum that goes through the steps and lists tool part numbers but I cannot find those tools. Joys of working on 20 year old transmissions I suppose. I dont remember but a press might be needed at some point. Which... makes it sound better to just source a better conditioned transmission than going through the trouble of taking it apart, especially in my case where the only issue is reverse.
