V1 Fenix's Goblin #461 - 2010 Base Auto

Have you checked the other side. It wouldn't surprise me if that little bit is warp from the heat of welding. And even if it isn't, it probably won't hurt anything.

The only connection here is the top of the strut. It will not have much impact to the rear alignment (camber) if it is only rotated and not pushed inward. It would have to move the attachment point a significant amount (1/2 inch or more) to really have any affect on how the strut will operate. Just my opinion, I would leave it alone.

I have most of those broken parts from an hhr I’m not 100% if they’ll interchange but if they’ll work for you they’re yours. I also have a few things from the wife’s Goblin build cobalt parts. DM me if interested

Same. I would check the other side and compare. Also. Look for cracks in the powder coat to see if it actually moved or not.

If it needs to be straightened, I would put a 2x4 on top and give it a whack with a mini sledge.

taking note of what i believe has been gathered together...

Sasqwatch, tie rods and upper strut mount plates
rttoys, knuckle
comegetjoe, df toe rod

markm, knuckle, lower control arm and axle shaft
missing cv axel, control arm and qa1 strut

i did some hammering on the strut connection to the frame and its better and probably fine to 'send it'.
birthday was alright

having some remorse over picking this hobby, should of just went with scrapbooking or putting jigsaw puzzles together

I'm still digging through boxes for the top strut mount plates. I have them - I had them in my hand a couple months ago.

There's a chance I can contribute some labor, depending upon timing, if that's something you'd be interested in. I won't be driving my Goblin across DC though.

dms sent out to you nice folks today, going with mark and sasqwatch which will leave only needing a strut, if he cannot find the plates thats fine as it shouldnt be that big of an issue to order them off df

You might possibly consider swapping to struts as opposed to coilovers until the money situation resolves. You can get two struts from Rockauto for about $120. Probably quite a bit cheaper than a single coilover.

small update.. received parts from mark, thanks again by the way. i did some digging on bc racings website and found i can get the part i need for the coilover https://shop.bcracing-na.com/products/lower-mount-front-right-q-01-fr-lm instead of getting a whole new 400~ dollar one. this is good news... all that remains is the toe link bar, toe rod, mirror and strut plate which i might try to bend back. oh and the rim needs inspected and reseated, rebalanced. either way the repair bill has gone down by a lot!

For the mirror, I’ve seen on Facebook that DF uses a 2008-2012 Honda CBR 1000RR mirror. Might be some cheap options out there on amazon or eBay.
