Getting a quick car

I have probably mentioned before but my goal is to have a car that gets from whatever to 100 very quick. The best race (for me) is one where the other guy just gives up in a couple of seconds as all hope disappears in front of him. That is why I got small diameter tires. I also got an HHR automatic transmission for my Goblin. It was less then $400 with shipping with the same number of miles on it as my donor (75K). The HHR has a 3.91 :1 final drive ratio verses the 3.63:1. That coupled with the smaller tires will give about a 12% reduction in top speed with a 12% increase in torque to the rear wheels up to the reduced top speed.

What size wheels and tires are you gonna run? Mine has 205/60/15 on steelies and I think I'm gonna go to an aluminium wheel. But I'm trying to avoid going bigger.

Remember when 13" rims where the thing! haha!

15" front and rear rims. Hankook Ventus R-S3 195/50R15 front and 225/45R15 on the rear.

904 revs per mile (for the rear's) compared to 858 revs per mile for a stock 195/60R15. Doing this is equivalent in changing the differential ratio by 5%
