Goblinfest 2025

pisco
Finally on the road
Woke up sicker than a dog dehydrated and shaking
Just now got loaded up and out of the campground. Riding the struggle bus the whole way.
It was a blast but it’s time to get back to my kids and my better 3/4.
Big photo/video dump to come.
Thanks everybody it was incredible.

The wife and I had THE BEST Goblinfest to date. We both had a ton of fun at the track and the best time hanging out and talking with folks. The trip odometer when we got home said we accumulated 641 miles from when we left until we got home. It was an awesome trip to drive to Mountain View. We’ve done made it home in a little under four hours non stop. One picture is us when we got home and the other is the wife being a good passenger : )

Goblins don't look that much bigger than the carts. My question, is a Goblin faster around the track than the karts? :p
The track was a little “slick”. Although I was getting heat in the tires, I wasn’t getting balled up rubber type heat. I never could hit full throttle. Stayed in second gear the whole time, but about 3/4 throttle and I was stepping out the ass end. Well, I did roll into full throttle on that one straight before T1, but that was a short stretch.

My lap timer wasn’t working, but per some of my videos, I was between 1:00-1:02. 2 had lap timers on and running 1.7x I think all of us in the “fast” group were the same, as well as Scott in the second group. Not sure on the others.
the best I could get off my videos was 1:00.94. I’m good with that, with only 15 or so laps.

The wife and I made it home safely kinda late last night, no damage except a bit too much sun on my left wing (arm). lol. We are likely to leave the car unloading until I finish the paperwork for my goblin being made legal. So off and running shortly!

Many many thank you's to all the Goblin family for letting us participate with you. You guys are all tops in my book. I've never been around a large group so well knitted together!

Samantha and I can't thank Lonnie, Brenda and Adam, etc for the hosting and organization of such a large and well done event! This certainly was a bucket list item for me that I am hoping to do several more times! Next time with our Goblin!

Turns out I actually did get the video of me going off the track...
It looked spectacular from the pits. I heard you and saw the spinout and said “don’t do that”. I didn’t think much of it because it happens all the time at autocross. Glad everything was ok.
