Thanks so much guys! I am thankful you all have figured out that Philosophy ain't exactly my bag but Bull S#!t artist isn't far off! Being older it falls upon us more experienced folks to do a bit of cheerleading every now and then. A little good natured prodding and some serious questioning of perceptions.---------- This land buying and home building is testing the limits of my fragile sanity! I gripe for years about not being in the town where "the bodies are" and now that I am finally "Home at Last", I find now my needs and wants are what is standing in the way of my progress!(We are truly capable of becoming our own worst enemies!) GAAD!----------------- Getting a little time to plumb the cooling system this week, ARRGH! I'm trying to re-use stock rad hoses and not reinvent anything, prolly a really basic error on my part! I have spent days on line and in stores looking for 35mm OD(1 3/8") steel tubing and hose couplers only to find tubing in that size seems to not exist at reasonable prices!(I did find 2 companies that would make it for me at just $200+ a foot! This is old cars, not Rocket Surgery!) I found some steel fence pipe that is aluminized and will work ($20 for 10')but must make my own radiator hose couplers! Couplers seem to start at ~$15 each and prices go up from there! (I need 6-8 of them! Imagine coolant transfer system costing roughly $400 and that is with used hoses!)---------- I blame fastidiousness on my part, not wanting to just "monkey clamp" 1 3/8" ID hose onto 1 1/4" OD pipe. I found that 1 3/8" ID hose will not easily stretch onto 1 1/2" OD pipe.-------At least I remembered to disconnect the battery cables when I left last year! I don't know yet if that saved my brand new battery, but I tried!------Hoping to make HRPT in Indy June 9 for a week of road testing and car showing.----- T-minus roughly one month and counting!
