okay we have now drove almost 900 miles so far and have found a few run issues and I believe they can be tuned out of it but my question is which hp tuner do I purchase and can someone school me in the new ways as the Golden screw driver don't work any more

I was closer than 18", that is why I added:
Kinugawa Thermo-Isolating O2 Bungs (Screw In) Reducing the exhaust gases (buy some shims too) $34.40 Ebay

I will. just because I am used to using a hand held screw driver and maybe just kinda want to see what these hp tuners are all about can I worry about major tune in very near future and focus on turning off the emission stuff first then do O2. Or does that require more credits??? I feel so out of the loop on this and I am sure the questions I am asking are just plain ....well you know stupid

If you use the second o2 bung. You will be close. I just compared my commanded AFR and my Gauge it is very close . One of the big reason for moving it 18" down stream is heat will shorten the life of the sensor.

You only need 2 credits to do all that HP Tuners can do with a Goblin. Other vehicles will cost you more.
Not all GM Tech2 functions are available thru HP Tuners, but they basically have hacked the tables most people will need for modifying an engine to be higher performance.

It was much easier back then a book of matches, a dime, standard screw driver 1/2 inch box end wrench and a 13/16 socket and you had all the turner tools you needed
