I’m heading back to the Isle of Man for the TT May 30th for my second time. My first trip was 2016. I want to know if anyone else here going or plan on going eventually.

I have been to tail of the dragon which is similar to the road width, but these guys average 135mph for (6) 37.25mile laps over 1.5hr race it’s truly breathtaking.

They race cars too!
I watched the car lap record in 2016, Michael Dunlop and Ian Hutchinson set records, 6 broken bones, 5 dead racers, 2 civilians near fatal accidents and they just wave a flag race goes on.

Yep, they are nuts.......nothing is worth that in my opinion. Im shocked the races are still allowed. But they know what they are getting themselves into.

That’s what makes this island so special! They’re not nuts they’re that good. The tourist trophy is what they call the event along with the Manx GP which is the beginners race, and a classic TT on vintage bikes is also held in Augest. Road racing is not for everyone but they sure picked the perfect place to do it. The Isle of Man is a tax haven and the races make them roughly 40million every year with over 30k people attending the two weeks of practice then racing. Large majority of 250+ deaths have happened in practice. They still use chalk boards posted lap times and the races are respected as a historical event. Continues to be the outright must have achievement in road racing.
