V1 Lonny's City Goblin - 2010 Turbo SS

G
While this type of car is incredible fun, 160mph is very unlikely to happen in the hands of a sane driver. 120mph threatens to rip your helmet off in this style of car without an extremely functional windshield more body aero. Lots of experience speaking here. I've had several cars of this type. Its all about 0 to 60, or 0 to 100 depending on the build.

The SS hits 110mph at the top of 3rd gear, and she gets there fast. Maxing out 4th gear (around 145mph) at a decent pace too...which is why I've been saying the SS cars are going to need good aero front and rear. Plan for high speeds because you'll get there before you even know it.

At the road course here you have a long straight section where cars have hit over 180mph, so it would be nice if she can handle speeds near 145. I've seen Videos of Ariel Atoms doing over 140 with ease, granted I think they usually had some wind deflection for the driver. Some have just a small little like 4"x4" plastic thing. Ha

This Atom does hit up some high speeds. It looks like he hits 140 in this section, hard to really tell. Now he his using a small wind screen with a small dome propping it up too. And the Atom drivers do probably sit a little lower to the ground as well it looks like...but over all the wind doesn't seem to be effecting his ability to tolerate the speeds.

At 140 my Ducati was not an enjoyable ride - lot of force on my head and neck, that is why it is now a grandsons Ducati. I guess I'm just getting too old.

I got my hoses made up today for my A/C. I need to cut out the panels that fold up to form the evaporator and heater core box.

I fabricated two brackets that will attach the heat exchanger to the cross brace behind the radiator.

Installed elbows, the closest one will attach to the output of the water pump. The far one will send water back to the intercooler.

What's the wheel and tire setup on this car?

It's a Toyo Proxes R1R tire. I'm unable to read the tire sizes though.

I mounted the horn behind the radiator using the same bolt that attaches the front brake tee.

I need to install one more hose clamp and then I will be finished plumbing the intercooler system.
