It worked just fine. Used it for the first 4-5 years. Upgraded to the DF shifter last year and kept this one in case I ever wanted to go back, but have no to reason to go back.

I have the upgraded DF Shifter just wondering if this one was smoother ? I do like the Reverse lockout better on the one you have compared to the Df version

You would need the old style tunnel cap and the bell cranks, basically all the original design set up in order to run this. It's not anymore smooth than the DF one. But I do agree, the reverse lockout is better on this short throw.

Can’t you just omit the reverse lockout? I did on my stock unit and the groupbuy shifter doesn’t have it. It’d be really hard to go into reverse unless the DF unit is a lot easier to hit reverse than stock?

You still have to push it quite a bit to the right to hit reverse. The reverse lockout it really nice to have as it sets you up pretty well to hit 5th gear. I tried driving it around with the lockout disengaged and always struggled to find 5th.

If I’m not mistaken you’re about an hour or so from the shop in Dallas, if it were me I would take a drive over and pick it up and get a tour of the shop?
What is this talk about going to the shop to pick this item up? If we are talking about the item I have for sale on my thread, it's not at the DF shop, I'm selling it from my home in Missouri.
