Yeah that's kind of ecutek's problem. There's so many tuning options. They were late to the game, never did much of anything to distinguish themselves from the crowd, they really didn't even advertise or promote it much. I actually ran it for a very short time before Cobb supported my S3, and it was fine.... just not the best or a great value IMO. I was hoping they would open up end user tuning since they have done that for previous platforms and could have been a good way to differentiate themselves, but they weren't interested.

First thing I'm doing when my donor car gets in today is pulling the OS off and start adding a flex fuel patch to the HPT software. I actually looked into this a few years ago but now that I'm gonna have a platform to do something with it, I've got some motivation to work on it. So as I go if anyone feels like testing stuff out I can kick some credits over to your interface and you can play around with it and give feedback on what you want.

Also Lonny I can talk to one of our sales guys if you want about setting up some sort of mass pre-flash exchange just for the ignition/immobilizer stuff if you want. I'm not terribly involved with the sales side (thank god) so I'd have to defer to someone else on what that part would entail, but for something that simple it shouldn't be too involved. Just a thought.

Thanks all as I have been watching a GTI on Copart and do not want to get something and then a decision is made to go another direction on a different engine configuration.

Like I have said before: if I had money in and no product, never dealing with DF before, I’d be nervous. On the other end, knowing DF and that they are not going to put the product out until they are satisfied, just be patient. There’s a lot of working parts. This is a fuctioning car you can build in your garage. Once it’s all lined out, it’ll be a hell of an end result.

@Mhuerter they sent out an email to those of us in the first batch with an update a few days ago, and finalizing some details for our frames (they added a few options). I'd rather let them post about the progress/updates, I suspect they will plan to provide some pictures, etc. and likely get ahead of most questions that might pop up.

Coincidentally I bumped that Production Status Log thread the a day or two before I got that update/query via email. I'm itching for updates and to get my frame as well. There does seem to be plenty of work going on behind the scenes, so I have tried to not worry about it too much.

Any updates as it has been almost 4 months. I am wondering if the focus is somewhere else as I see they are also working on a VW bug chassis with a GTI motor and they started pre orders on it back in 2023 and it also has still not been released.
