V1 Speeduino ECU

C
While I'm not the longest-standing member of the forums here, I'm not aware of anyone who has tried it. I'm not aware of anyone running a megasquirt, or other aftermarket ECU either.

Is there a reason why you want to use it? The stock ECM plus HPTuners will allow you to do just about anything you want with the ecotec platform. If you want to run something nutty and off-brand like a rotary or a Ford Ecoboost in a goblin, I think you'll be on your own.

I thought so. The search brings no results either.

Well, the ecu is something I can't find a lot information about. See my Table here. The ecu row is mostly empty. I read somewhere that some ecus are not programmable.

I saw somewhere that the speeduino has am autotune feature. That sounded interesting as well as tuning it from a digital dashboard. That was actually what brought me to speeduino. Saw on YouTube a video where this was shown as a feature.

Anyway, I think the only thing what really would make sense is a wideband O2 sensor for each zylinder. But not sure if that's overkill.

From what I've gathered:

E16A (early L61): can't be tuned
P12 (LSJ)
E37 (late L61/LAP, '08 LE5)
E67 ('06-07 LE5)
E69 (LNF)

Speeduino doesn't support DBW out of the box. You can add DBW support to a Megasquirt setup, but its costs are comparable to the total cost of conversion on a cable-throttle setup. Might be just as easy to figure out how to put a cable throttle on an Ecotec.

I don't know that anyone has put an Ecotec fancy enough into a Goblin to warrant 4-channel widebands. Even the most built Ecotecs can be managed pretty well on a single wideband.
