My wife mentioned it to me the other day. I’ve never heard of it before!

Never heard of that term, but corn fields here always seem to be hotter than other areas. Our neighbors on the farm had corn fields. When we would pick some corn for ourselves, it just seem like an oven.

Great idea. Just build some test spacers from some plexiglass. (New to milling plexiglass, but came out ok I think)

With the new shifter from DF I discovered another heat source. The opening in the tunnel where the shifter cable come up is introducing hot air. Problems Problems Problems.

A dab of spray foam could seal that heat leak. Don’t over of it, just enough to make a little wall/dam to stop the flow.

Or a hunk of semi-rigid foam to plug the back end of the tunnel below the rear firewall and fuel tank area. This will keep the hot air from filling up the tunnel at the source.

I think foam is the way to go, but it sure feels like the heat is coming from the front.

I shoved a rag up the front around all the wires to block the heat and held it with duck tape. Nothing fancy as nobody sees it and replaceable. I also used a piece of trimmed rigid foam to block the vertical section of the tunnel near the BCM.

Where are you located? For some reason I thought you were in East TN. Lawrenceburg/Mt. Pleasant is about as far west as I have taken the Goblin.

Lawrenceburg is roughly 100 miles from me I’m only about 2 miles off hwy 64
