10-4. My TC can calculate gear and the settings do work.So does my LSJ 2.0L SC have HP Tuner settings for torque vs gear... but it doesn't work with a manual transmission, and the log file doesn't show it shifting gears.
Having the settings in HP Tuners doesn't mean it will work. There is stuff in HP Tuners that is for other engines and transmissions, but still somehow remains in the settings for my car. I wish it would work!
there should be no reason for the ECU to be limiting the throttle on the tune side
On the P12 at least, that makes it MAF only, but I don't have the VE correction factor table. The spreadsheet datalog doesn't make it look like it's running poorly, just without throttle, so yeah, I wouldn't think that's the problem, but my vote currently remains to flash the last known good Cobalt tune and try that out.In particular, the dynamic airflow is set to disable at 2000 rpm. Is that correct?
Anything that looks like a torque limiter looks disabled to me, but again, I don't know E37's that well, but still seems like it could potentially be causing a problem rather than solving it.Have you chased this problem by turning off everything that looks like a limiter?
I have HP tuners, the tune is a nearly direct copy of a ZZP tune with the exception of the DTC list and fan temps, as far as the dynamic being at 2k it typically makes for a smoother correction factor as the trims do their thing but I usually set it to something that makes it full time MAF like 199rpm, im not sure why they have it at 2k unless they're trying to keep it on the VE table for general cruisingCnixon160 hasn't bought HP Tuners, so he can't just remove or change the tune. He would have to hire a tuner, or buy it.
Oops, I mixed you up with someone else. Sorry, I thought it was you who didn't have HP Tuners.I have HP tuners, the tune is a nearly direct copy of a ZZP tune with the exception of the DTC list and fan temps, as far as the dynamic being at 2k it typically makes for a smoother correction factor as the trims do their thing but I usually set it to something that makes it full time MAF like 199rpm, im not sure why they have it at 2k unless they're trying to keep it on the VE table for general cruising
Hey Ross thanks I actually decided to buy the mpvi3 today as well so now I have it too I get my new sensor Thursday and we will see if it works. Otherwise I'll have to keep digging. It's strange that would cause so many issues and hoping to learn a new skill in tuning.Oops, I mixed you up with someone else. Sorry, I thought it was you who didn't have HP Tuners.
Glad you found the errant sensor, and can get some torque! Now to beat your 17 second 0-60 time!
Hell yeah!!Update post!!! SHES ALIVE!!!!
Ross, Mine is significantly less than 17 seconds, I haven't tested it out again since swapping the 4.41 Saturn Vue gearset and going from a 205 highway compound to the 555RII 275 setup, Ill have to grab my dragy and check it out this week.Oops, I mixed you up with someone else. Yeah, I realize now I was thinking of Robf's build, he had the 17 second 0-60 run in limp mode.Ross, Mine is significantly less than 17 seconds, I haven't tested it out again since swapping the 4.41 Saturn Vue gearset and going from a 205 highway compound to the 555RII 275 setup, Ill have to grab my dragy and check it out this week.View attachment 39733View attachment 39734
