V1 Wobble from Shifter Area of Tunnel

Has anyone else noticed a wobble to the tunnel area around the shifter when they shift? I am considering putting a few more screws or rivets in that area to help it stop moving. If anyone else has done something different, what have you done? Thanks!!

Thanks. I added a self tapping screw on each side of the shifter and it stiffened it up a ton. Nearly no movement now. It looks like the only movement is a slight bit due to the flex of the shifter mounting plate as it cantilevers out a bit, and it pretty thin.

Are you using the factory rubber mounts on the bottom of the shifter base? When I ordered my short throw shifter from ottp, I bought the solid bushings to go with it. I tried it with the original rubber mounts first and had a lot of wobble like you are describing. After installing the solid bushings, it became much more solid.

Maybe that's why we don't have an issue. I didn't even know there were rubber mounts, I believe the previous owner changed them out with the solid mounts and I just assumed that's what everyone has.
