2.4’s ONLY!

Please!, feel free to just point me to a source on all of this!!.....Is there any obvious outward difference on 2.4 VS 2.2?......Where else have the 2.4 motors also been used? Malibu?..... Are there 2.4 that are not VVT?...... What year did they stop using EcoTec motors that are the style(directly interchangeable)into the Cobalt?).....I think after 2014 they redesigned the head and block with no balance shaft and the head turned 180*, exhaust on the front side. I think these are also up to 2.5L motors?

I think the LE5 and LE9 are interchangeable with everything except the Flex fuel sensors and wiring.

If you are looking for power you want the 2006 til mid 2007 variants as they had forged rods but all still had cast pistons.

2.5 is a different animal. 2.4 had some generation changes especially the early ones with pfi and later direct injection. All 2.4 are vvt engines and early 2.4 had different cam actuators
