Yeah A7s are awesome but that price hurts. Also considering e mod is not a popular class in my region I probably won’t reorder them after this set goes.
Yeah he said they’re fast. He was up with me on A7s on my car but he had a few advantages with seat time that weekend. But I was definitely impressed. Especially that they have wider options for 15s
I have a friend with an Exocet that runs 200tw in the XU class. Runs a new tire called a vitor tempesta p1 I believe. They have wider sizes too for you guys that want 15x10s. Like up to a 305. I believe in 17s they go up to 285.
My local region doesn’t really have much e mod entrants and no XU cars so I get lumped together with all the mod classes.
Isn’t there no rules for front wings in XU? Might be worth a shot having some big angle in the front. I had a hard time getting heat in my fronts last event. Probably ran...
A friend of mine in a 400whp Exocet was trying to get me to switch to XU and go to nationals with him. He said our cars should do decent up there, but man his Exocet is competitive on the vitour tempesta p1s. My A7s are a couple years old and sat for a while due to my wheel hop issue but he was...
Not really upset about it honestly. Figured it’s had a hard life and from the looks of it my tuning ability isn’t what broke it. Besides now I can shoot for 450ish wheel on E with the new engine.
Well it’s finally that day. I’ve had a slow coolant leak the last couple years and I was hoping it was just an old hose. Today proved me wrong. Did some data logs and the car felt weak up top but the logs were clean. Got out and the coolant tank was empty. Spark plugs are clean and it idled and...
Funny enough I chased my tail thinking I had a PCV issue in mine for the longest time to realize it’s probably just a worn shaft seal. I bought my turbo used off a hurt engine and I get a little oil in my charge pipes. If it’s anything like the LNF PCV system the car sucks the oily crank vapor...
Just for relief you won’t need spacers with the 25mm offset as long as you run the BC setup in the rear. 17s are perfect for ride height on the street.
I’m gonna watch your build carefully I also have a 2.4 block and a lnf crank that I’m slowly gonna start piecing together. Which head gasket did you end up going with on thickness?
I may have wrote it on a different thread. I switched them just to try it. After doing research on different control arms since I was tackling that for a while I also saw what spring rates cars like lotus and Porsche were using and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. It makes the car much more...
Ran that the FIRM for the first time today. 300f/400r springs were a little more predictable now but had some trouble getting initial heat in the front. Probably could’ve been a little more aggressive in some spots but the new course got me.
