What makes a goblin illegal for EM?

My local region doesn’t really have much e mod entrants and no XU cars so I get lumped together with all the mod classes.
Isn’t there no rules for front wings in XU? Might be worth a shot having some big angle in the front. I had a hard time getting heat in my fronts last event. Probably ran too much air too.

I wish the was a hybrid class between EM and XU. I would love to switch to XU but running a 200tw makes the car so much more of a handful.

Maximum downforce is the key to XU class and you can't have enough of it to overheat/overload the 200TW tires to comply with the rule. Splitters/wings/spoilers/canards/diffusers/skirts are all on the table - as long as it's not an active device or uses a fan to pull a vacuum it should be allowed. There are some specific track oriented 200TW tires that are claimed by some reputable websites (tirerack, r&t, etc. ) to run just a tick slower than other 100TW-ish tires. They are not slicks, but remember everyone else in class has the same handicap.

Ya. I’m going to run slicks in em all year locally, but regionals or nationals it’ll be XU and 200tw unfortunately. My goal this year is to run with the “big boys” here locally. At least be close to them on raw time.

I think we can be very competitive in XU.

I met a guy named Brian at the DC ProSolo last year and he was heavily convincing me to go to XU. He drives a stalker and won XU class at nationals this past year. He wants me to push the goblin community to grow the XU class to get it recognized for trophies at National events
