V1 2007 SS/SC extra connectors

I'm working on the main body harness and ran into some connectors and other differences from the video.

First, I have two of the copper lugs connected via a thin black wire. Should I just cut it in the middle or near one of the lugs?

The rear defrost wire connects to a ground lug. I assume I can/should remove it.

I have several connectors (shown in attached pictures) that I'm not sure what to do with. This reminds me of the heated seats, but not sure. The small connector, I believe, is the trunk light. Does that get completely removed? The video mentioned vcim connectors which I didn't have.

The 6 wire plug with the thick purple wire looks like the plug that goes to the harness in the roof for the sun roof, headliner lights etc.

Tracing back the 6wire plug, it does indeed control the courtesy lamp and is the power side of the rear defrost.

I'm assuming I can rip these out.
