Best to give it some thought... You could be doing something more relaxing, like stripping road sign reflective - impossible to remove - coating from parts. :p This stuff is definitely not meant to come off!

Try to have a better day! :D

Swapped the second fuse box in today and it fixed the light problem, but, it's not a LNF fuse box so the car won't start, etc. It's missing some pins on the inside of the box and is obviously not a match.

So...... ISO LNF fuse box, I guess.

I tried making a non-LNF fusebox work on mine by trying to rewire it and finally decided it wasn’t worth it. They were available from GM at a not unreasonable cost a few years ago.

if it is just the lights, it is fairly simple to remove the light function from the fuse box with a couple of relays and fuses.

The only obvious symptom is the lights, but, it could be more than that. I'm not sure I trust the original fuse box at this point, so I'll replace it.

I think I found one, but I'll know for sure tomorrow. These things seem to be unicorns nowadays; everyone says they have one when in reality, nobody has one. A lot like LNF knuckles.

Thread Hi-jack or good info point on knuckles.--------- I have run across info on using the Malibu/G6 knuckle on dirt track Cobalt. I only remember they instructed to shorten steering tie rod 1". I have no info on which ball joint it uses. A source claimed it is a stronger(heavy duty) knuckle. Mostly right knuckles for the dirt folks as they strike the wall on their right often.-------: end distraction

Got one for you on fb if not. I can send you deets. $100.

I'll let you know if the one I ordered falls through.

The kindness of the forum continues to amaze me. Not only are people assisting me with searching, but one awesome forum member offered to sell me his spare. You guys are great!

Honestly, if I were you, whether I end up needing it or not ... I'd grab it to have on-hand. $100 is cheap for peace-of-mind.

*knock on wood*

I managed to locate another LNF fuse box (actually LNF this time) via car-part.com. I threw it in this afternoon and it looks to have cured the light issue, but I won't be able to start the car and run it for a little while yet. But, it's currently looking good.

Started the car, ran it for a while, shut it down, lights are staying off. I'm going to call it good until I find a reason not to. Thanks again for all the support.

I didn't want to make a separate thread just for this, but I did want to let people know that DYC is running a 20% off sale, site-wide, for Memorial Day. It's a good time to check out plastidip if you were planning to anyway. Code: SAVE20
