Sick! I went to my first outing with the goblin today. Met up with Scott at his place, definitely didnt wake his neighbors up between the goblin and his GT500. Drove over to Bethlehem and pulled into the lot. First, let me tell that there was an awful lot of people recording and taking pictures of cars entering the event, hard not be a little shocked. I find this funny, but they didnt pay much attention to Scott's bright orange GT500, but the VIP guy flagged me down and told me to back it up into the VIP section with the Vipers, Skyline, Porsche and GTM, but I wasn't trying to be locked into staying the whole 4-5hrs until the event cleared out, so I said no and Ill just park with the orange Shelby. Such a awesome, AWESOME feeling having this happen and it made me smile for my entire stay knowing that I could've been parked with the big dogs.
So we parked, snacked up and drank a monster and proceeded to walk around all the while peaking at the small groups of people who would gather around the goblin with there fingers pointed and cameras aimed. There were 3 lots. 2 were pretty full but the 3rd lot was only really home to about 20 Toyota Tacomas showing off their camping gear lol
I didnt take many pictures because there's just a lot going on, but I snapped a couple. All in all I had a blast and can't tell you how many people just want to know "what in the hell is it?" Or "thats a Nissan motor, looks like it anyways" or "ecotec, thats Chevy, right?" Or "how much do you have in to it?"...to which Ill never answer or "how is it registered" or "what DO you do with it?" Met one guy who was ecstatic to see it and kept telling me about his TSX swapped Honda element and how he's seen miata karts, corvette carts, but has never seen a goblin in person.
So much fun and Ill definitely be there for the season opener come spring.
And here's a computer background shot for you winter blues people.
