When recharging the battery on a Goblin, do you lift the hood and charge directly at the battery or use the post at the fuse box along with the ground near it?
I was putting a piece of pipe insulation over the frame and used the fuse box post. I've since installed a small trickle charger at the battery so I can keep the car plugged up when I'm not using it.
If using a full size charger, usually on the fuse box post, unless the hood is off anyway. For the trickle charger, all of my vehicles have some version of a SAE quick connect, either with a wire hanging somewhere or a hard mounted connector. This is what I mounted on the Goblin; 2pcs 12AWG Sae Power Socket Sidewall Port To Sae Cable Connector For Solar Panel | eBay
I recommend including an inline fuse close to the connection with the car. I mounted my connector below the fuse box and just used a ring terminal on the jumper post connector for the + side. Pay attention to what side of the connector is +/- on your charger to make sure its matched up correctly. You can't always go with red/black as +/- when wiring the connector, especially when using a pig tail connector.
