You’d have to trim that hair over your ears if you’re using the old string and can :D

Or use this can

Sena has headsets;

I used to use Sena in my motorcycle helmets and it worked great. You may be able to get away with one that’s a little cheaper than the link I provided since you’re going to be right next to each other. Sena has pretty good sound but amazing range…which you won’t need for your passenger.
Those won't do much for noise reduction. We considered these since we already have cardos for our motorcycle except they don't fit the model we have. I can do a pair of aviation style headsets and that little box for -$350

And I'm cueball bald, fortunately or unfortunately however you look at (hence me wanting a roof panel a few posts ago )

Ahh I see, yeah the over ear would be best. I’m on my way to being bald so I’ll look at it as fortunate ;)

Is most of the noise from wind? Or the engine? I haven’t been in the road enough to really experience the wind but the engine is definitely noisy. There’s a few members I’ve seen install plexi behind them. Might help with the noise and maybe the tall windscreen. I like the one Ross has/had that contoured to the hood and have seen some install a full windshield.

No idea lol. Haven't driven mine more than 30mph yet. I'm overly cautious about hearing damage. I have tinnitus and noticeable hearing loss from doing car stereo competitions in high school and 20 years of going to metal concerts. Protect your hearing, people!

70 trans am in the background? One of my all time favorites. Actually the 69 is my all time favorite, but there’s only 8 of those and I would doubt that’s one of them.

What about that beautiful Porsche 356 speedster?! Could be a replica.

My brother in law works for a company in LA that restores them. He built a 68’ porche 912 restomod…BEAUTIFUL car.

It's a very nice rep. I chatted with that guy for a bit. He owns a custom car shop in town. He tried to convince me to come out to a trackday at road Atlanta in a couple weeks. I told him no way I was going to set the car loose on a racetrack when I haven't even driven it over 35mph yet!

That’d be a hell of a way to break your record! :D

Update time. We're road legal now. Plate came in today. Just need to solder in the tag light now that I've decided which side the plate will be on. I jumped through all the hoops and went with Rally for insurance.

I think I might give up on the parking brakes. The cables are too short and I can't for the life of me get the ends seated. I've tried starting on the caliper end. I've tried starting on the handle end. I've tried unbolting the brake handle to free up some slack. Nothing has worked. Anyone have a good method?

First thing I would do is to loosen the tension nut on the handle, that grabs the cable. this will get you some room to fine tune the system but also give clearance to assemble at the calipers

I routed both tubes after inserting into the handle to come out in front of the subframe. others have made various routing with success as well.
50839

Here the tubes transition from rigid aluminum to the flexible plastic and I routed them along the sides of the subframe. I think opening an existing hole in the subframe allows the push retainer to hold the cable sheath to the subframe.
50840

Here I routed the cable under the CV axle and zip tied an existing sleeve up to the rear inner tie rod (lower picture is toward the front of the vehicle)
50841

I used the existing support bracket that originally held the cable to the cobalt frame and bent it to fit in the sway bar mounting hole of the rear strut. The cable loops over to the caliper (make sure it is on the correct side, with parking function on top).

Then go back and tighten adjustment nut to have a small amount of slack when lowered.

Done!!

Congrats on road legal!! Exciting shiz. I didn’t have any issues with them being short, i did however manipulate the bends in the tubes to get it to line up with the radiator mounts on the subframe. This may have helped me out with length.

This is where the end of the tube ended up after bending.

I used the stock bracket to attach it to the coil over and just zip tied it to the “toe” bar (can’t think of the right term right now) haha.

Oh man that's exactly what I needed. I never bothered to pull the outer sleeve off the handle. Didn't even know that screw was in there! Backed that nut off a ways then it all came together so easy. D'oh! Thank you!
