For those of you that would like the files Kaleb created to make the button panel, you can download them from my Dropbox account. You do NOT need an account to download them, Dropbox makes it look like you do. Just X out the login screen. Then click on the "Download" button in the upper right and use Direct Download to save them to your computer.

Here is a link to my build thread with more details:

Someone please make an extra and sell me one pretty pllleeeeeeease!!!
I can print one for you. Pay for shipping and a little for the material. Do you want it with or without the lettering? The lettering doesn't always turn out the best and since it's face down, you don't know it until the print it done and at that point hate to just throw it away and start over.

It's hard to tell from the pics. Is the lettering protruding or recessed on the button panel?
Just wondering and thank you for sharing your files.

Recessed so they can be filled with paint. I used a single hair brush but it was still hard to get a droplet size to fit down in them. You can't flood it with paint and wipe off because there are micro lines that will take the paint and make a mess.

Have you considered acetone vapor smoothing on the 3d printed parts? It would smooth out all the layers and leave an almost glossy finish. then you could paint it without much difficulty.

I'd offer to do a multi-color print for you but that part is too big to fit in my printer.

I haven't tried acetone yet, I've heard mixed results depending on the PLA used. Since I'm printing it face down on glass, the face it pretty smooth to begin with. Just that it has some very thin lines between the flows.

From what I understand, it doesn't work very well with PLA. I almost always use ABS as it tends to be more durable (most of my stuff ends up in robots or toys). The acetone vapor works really well with ABS.

Acetone doesn't work with PLA. Your best bet is to prime and sand. With ABS you can use acetone, but it has to be a high strength. You can either use a vapor to help smooth it out or a brush. If you use vapor, its best to heat up the acetone and have your part in an enclosed container. Make sure its in a well ventilated area.

Good info Thanks. I have been looking at the CR-10S and the new Tevo Tornado which are that size. Tryign to decide if I will use the bigger area enough to justify buying another printer... :)

I did some editing of the design of this for my needs. Can I get someone on here to print one for me? Gladly pay for material, time and shipping. I just can't talk myself in to a printer yet. I have it in a STL file from Fusion360
Here is what I changed
