Not a dumb question...You also have to get the 3D printing software depending on which printer you get. There are many different software for modeling. I don't use inventor or fusion 360, so i don't have any input on it.Dumb question. Does the CAD software come with 3D printers (as you posted above) or do you need separate software for the design?
Yep see your PM'sIf it's okay, I'll print it this weekend so I can keep an eye on it. It's a 7-8 hour print
For those of you that would like the files Kaleb created to make the button panel, you can download them from my Dropbox account. You do NOT need an account to download them, Dropbox makes it look like you do. Just X out the login screen. Then click on the "Download" button in the upper right and use Direct Download to save them to your computer.
Here is a link to my build thread with more details:

Sorry about that. Scale it by 100. He had that problem early on with Inventor and have since resolved it. If you would like I can have him output another and upload it.This is awesome, and super appreciated! We (well my girlfriend who is the 3D printer expert) opened the 3D slice file on AutoDesk and it came out as being 33 mm long, which I'm pretty sure isn't right?
I think we can just scale the image if perhaps you could tell me exactly how far apart the mounting hole centres should be? The precision of my measuring would likely leave a little to be desired and require a few prints.
Thanks!

Will she be able to print one that big?
Yeah, it barely fits diagonally on our 300mmx300mm bed (12"x12"). That's the biggest issue with it. I have one that is blank and another one that has the exact same labels as ours already printed. I don't remember why I have them. I think on was a prototype and the holes might be slightly undersized. You are welcome to one of them if you want to pay for shipping. That's for the quick responses and thanks for the information on the scaling. I'm not actually sure her 3D printer (which primarily prints cookie cutters) can print that big, I think the bed is 8' x 8'. Now that you've given me the scaling factor, we may just print it in two halves and glue it together.
Last night I ordered the same buttons as you did, so I'm hoping to put together something that looks nearly as good as yours!
Mine came out awesome! It took some work to get the shine on it.Yeah, it barely fits diagonally on our 300mmx300mm bed (12"x12"). That's the biggest issue with it.
