V1 Dash harness plug needed?

06 SS/SC for reference. If my labeling is correct, this came from a small black box on the top of the dash towards the passenger side. I was assuming it was for keyless entry. Is it needed, or can it be cut out? If it needs to be left, where does it branch out on the table template?

You can locate the TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring system) anywhere in the wiring harness. Mine is beside the instrument panel. I think it does the keyless entry too. It is just a radio receiver. Can it be cut out? Probably, but I don't know if anyone has done that. BradR did a hack that allowed setting the tire pressure to a low number instead of 32 psi, which Goblin doesn't need.

@bradr posted a few days back he has the TPMS prototype but has not completed testing on it. I have been patiently waiting for this gadget to be completed and put onto the website. I bought the ABS eliminator a while back, which is a must have if you like having the dash warning lights functional.

Thanks everyone. I ended up keeping the plug per the video. As a somewhat tangential follow-up, what is cable/wire circled in red on the picture below? It's on the fuse box side of the harness and is shown at the end of the "finishing the harness" video. I don't have anything like that branched out on mine.
What is this wire.PNG

I believe that’s your tail light connections
I think the tail lights are coiled up together in the bottom right hand corner of the same picture. Similarly, I can account for one of the purple fog light wires, which is also bundled up and zip-tied in the same general area. The circled piece is still unaccounted for.

Oof. I’m colorblind and didn’t see the red circle at a glance o_O

I believe that’s the power for the HE Pump. Your donor is a 06 SS/SC like mine and our car has this already wired in from the factory. We didn’t add this wire because of it.

Ah, I actually remember cutting a pink wire for the heat exchanger pump but later caught that it would be specific to TC donors. I topped it with heat shrink and left it tagged in the bundle. Thanks for the follow-up. I'll disregard it and get things wrapped up. :)

Made the wire harness rework much more tedious for sure.
I’m tell’n ya. It’s hard enough with new wires to see all the colors. Add in a 15 year old hardness that’s faded and it’s a whole new set of wtf. It took me about a month to do mine. Not that I worked on it all day everyday, but there were some times I was so fed up, I had to just stop for a week or so.
