This week's Goblin of the Week is #299 from Clarkston, Michigan. Mark's car stands out thanks to the nice carbon fiber wrap on the hood and gauges.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm the truck garage supervisor for Stellantis where we build the larger/ full frame prototype or mule vehicles and repair the engineering fleet. Before that I was a mechanic for 10 years on cars then later boats and jet skis. I've always fixed my own cars but this was the first time I've been able to work on something for fun and not just keeping a daily driver on the road.
How did you become interested in cars?
I grew up on a farm where we kept our own tractors and equipment running so that got me interested in fixing things or at least taking things apart enough to figure out how it works. I'm sure being young and impressionable when the first fast and furious movies and need for speed video games came out didn't help with my car addiction.
What drew you to the Goblin?
The forum. I was originally torn between the Goblin and an Exocet. The amount of information and help offered in the forum along with the cobalt being a cheaper donor at the time is what pushed me to chose the Goblin.
How does the Goblin fit into your lifestyle? (daily driver, weekend warrior, both)
Weekend Warrior
Tell us about your build. (who did you build it with? where did you build it?)
Built it by myself other than having a buddy help me flip the frame at the beginning of the build. My daughter didnt have much interest in the building of it and my 5yr old son wasn't much help building but did offer his advice and liked hitting the donor cobalt with a hammer. I built it in my two car garage, no lift just doing everything with jacks and a cherry picker.
What, if anything, have you modified on your Goblin that sets it apart from others?
I made my own add on gauge cluster but other than that it's just TC track Goblin. No crazy additions or modifications, yet.
Do you have any memorable road trips, races or events you've attended in your Goblin?
Being able to take a car I built to the Woodward Dream Cruise has always been something I wanted to do and was able to do that with a few other Goblins for the 2023 Woodward Dream Cruise.
Is there a particular aspect of the Goblin—be it the design, performance, or community—that you appreciate the most?
It's a close tie between the performance and the help that the other goblin owners offer each other.
Finally, do you have any future plans for your Goblin—any upcoming modifications, trips, or events?
Stage 1 sensors and tune in the near future. Eventually will try to find a set of different headlights that match the look of the car more than the ones I have.
