[GUIDE] Montana Registration

comegetjoe
So,
Trying to get this done, but the guide isn't very clear on what options we should be choosing. This hasn't been discussed from what I've read and if it has been, then I've missed it.

1. What type of LLC are we entering into? Just a plain Jane "Limited Liability Company" as it's listed in the drop-down menu? There are like 70 to choose from.

***edit - Yes. I found this in one of the photos.

2. Home state? This is Montana, correct?

3. Category? "Starting a Business" is my assumption.

4. Filing Service? "Form a Company"? This is based off of my email to support and pricing they gave me of $135 and available options and deducing what can be what. $100 fee and $35 for the "Standard Articles of Organization" - I have already paid the $49 Agent service fee, at the time I'm writing this I hope I dont have to pay it again, but its in my total of $184
*edit - I can't remove the doubled up agent fee, rufkm
**edit - I just spoke with support, she adjusted the double fee through her computer and then added the invoice to my invoice tab at the top, but also told me to "Form a Vehicle LLC" because I was going to register a vehicle... I dont think this was right so I didn't click on submit. Waiting on you guys to chime in. Conflicting reports between two support people.

Is there anyone who is willing to share what the back of thier MCO looked like before they sent it out to their agent?
Id really rather not get these papers returned to me and have to start over.

I called my local municipality and they told me I have to bring the car to them. Called the next township, which is a stones throw away and they transferred me back to the local... ffs. You pass my house 50x a day and can't have one officer stop for 5minutes?
So now I'm hunting down people in my circle who may know someone, who may know guy... or ha e to rent a haul just to get this one half of a sheet of paper filled out.

Anyone have any recent Montana success stories? Sent mine out through a broker last Tuesday, supposed to be 3 business days and I’m starting to get nervous

Patience Grasshopper, you are working at the speed of government.:D
Are you going the Montana route? They have specialty plate that’s right up your alley

I have used https://www.49dollarmontanaregisteredagent.com/ 4 times and have been extremely happy with their service.
That’s who I’m using, 49 Montana.

my process took like 6 months. I eventually left a 1 star google review for the broker and it was done within 1 week after that.

Was this for a from scratch titling process? Mine has already been titled in another state.

Update: got notification that they received my registration and plate and have created a tracking number to hopefully ship today.

Roughly a month from making my LLC and I should have my plate within 2 weeks of them receiving my documents. (Started with a clean CT title)

yes from scratch, an inspection and MCO. it took awhile.

when I added my 1988 nissan to Montana so I could get permanent plates it took a few weeks.

Does anyone have a copy of the guide posted on the first page? It says the file has been deleted.
The guide has sort of changed. $49dollarmontanaagent only requires 5? Pieces of documentation now to get everything completed.
Call them directly, speak to someone in customer service, tell them what you are doing and ask what paperwork is needed. Thats what I did, it saves time and headache.

I called them and you are correct, its only a few papers they need. Seems super easy to complete.
