V1 Lnf cold start question

When I cold start my ss/tc. It idles up like it's still trying to get the cats hot. Which is no big deal but while it does this high idle for around 30 seconds or so it runs rough and pops out the intake and exhaust. It will do that for a bit then it sounds like the bypass valve opens up. After the whoosh sound of what i assume is the BPV the idle drops and it runs normally. Both MAP sensors and MAF are new. I had a crashed donor so I don't know how the motor ran before and my pcm is from LKQ and came out of a solstice that had an LNF. The video is a mild version of what it does since the motor was a little warm already and it doesn't set any codes that look related.

The replacement ECM may have had a tune it, and it could even not be a very good one. And if you read through the HP Tuners forums it’s not unusual for tuned LNFs to not idle the best. Beyond that, it’s hard to speculate anymore. If you have HP Tuners you could try and see what is different from a stock tune and log it to try and see what might be causing it.

Yeah thats where I'm at with not knowing what's in the pcm. I dont have HP Tuners. So I'm not sure it it has a tune in it or not. It's just cold start I can deal with it for now. It seems to be worse than normal but winter gas combined with warmer temps might be playing into that. It's low on fuel currently so I may pick up a fresh can of gas and see if that calms her down a bit.

I think anyone with hp tuners should be able to read and compare your tune to stock. I’m not sure if there are any differences between the solstice and cobalt engines so that might be part of it.
I had “parked” my cams at idle and it helped mine some.
