I feel like I am just missing something but was told car has Stage 1 and seems to have stage 1 map sensors but don't have a 3 wire and 4 wire, both are 4 wire. Car ran fine before I tore it down. What am I missing.

The kits came with 2x 4 connector TMAP sensors and 4 wire connectors. The MAP sensor only used 3 of 4 pins/wires. So you probably have a wire that isn’t connected in.

The kits actually came with connectors that had all white wires on the pigtail. Some one probably made their own conversion since your sensor pictured is not the part number that came with the kit. That part number is actually the replacement part number sensor.

The real question is did they update the tune correctly for it.

trace the wiring further up from the sensor, you should have adapter harnesses in there like mentioned above.

3-wire MAP goes to intake manifold
4-wire MAP-T goes to cold air charge pipe

you have a 50% chance of getting it right lol, I had massive turbo flutter then I swapped sensors around.

I had the map-t in the intake and vice versa

my wiring was correct but I had the sensors in the wrong holes.

Is there no way to differentiate between the tmap and map? It's just a guessing game with the sensors if my wiring is correct at the loom?

So as long as a reloomed the correct plug in the correct spot I should be good? The map plug is very very close to the evap solenoid plug so I don't think I missed that.

I have confirmed the sensors with the GM stage kit are the same.

if you want to confirm you have the correct plug on sensor in the right position, I can look up and post the ECM connection pins for each one.

Pin out for MAP sensor, the one actually mounted in the intake manifold. Intake air pressure is the one mounted within the air intake pipe.
