No Reason for the EVAP?

There is no reason for the EVAP in states that don't require smog or any emissions, correct? Just want to make sure before I remove it from the engine harness. Plug the inlet port on the intake after removing?

I left the purge solenoid attached to the intake. I'll probably end up putting a cap on the solenoid where that line connected.
