Setting account to stay logged on...

Is there a way to keep logged on? Every time I come back to the forum, I have to log back in.

I went thru all the settings but did not see one to keep logged in.

Thanks,

Paul

Okay, this time when I clicked on my saved url, I was already signed in...

Either I clicked on something that kept me signed in or the Admin(s) did it.

Either way THANKS!

(now watch it not work the next time. ::))

Update:
Yup, had to log on this time. :(

Weird. I've got it setup to keep you logged in.

Are you visiting on different devices?

P
No. Using the same browser (Chrome) on the same computer. I just close out the browser and later open the same browser (Chrome).

Changed to Internet Explorer 11 and it seems to keep me logged on.

I guess it is the way I have Chrome setup that is not remembering I'm logged on.

It is strange since I am kept logon on other sites (rcgroups.com, flitetest.com, rcpowers.com). They must use a different method to remember me by than this software.

Definitely going to look into that. I like the look of this forum software but I'm open to changing it if I find that it can't get it to work well enough.

By the way, based on your other forums, we'd definitely get along well. We used to fly and drive RC planes, helis and cars (back when we had free time :P ).

Just opened the forum link again and with either Chrome or IE 11 after a while, it doesn't remember me as being logged on. :(

With Chrome it at least remembers my logon account and password so I just have to click on it and log on. IE 11 forgets my logon and I have to start typing in my account info before it lets me click on the remembered info.

So it is back to Chrome browser for me!

See you Sunday!

Good news is that I figured out what might be going on. Bad news is that I won't be able to try to fix it for a week or so.

I use a service that distributes the site and forum to servers in different parts of the country. This makes the site a little quicker because you retrieve data from the nearest server.

However, this service seems to not mesh well with the forum software so I'm going to have to do some tweaking.

If you're using chrome why don't you just have the site remember your username and password? At least you don't have to enter anything, just click login and let chrome do it's biz.
